Ange Percy is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Cumbria. With a background in textiles, painting and two years working as a member of the Wool Clip cooperative of textile artists, Ange is completing a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, returning her focus to ceramics.
Ange currently uses her ceramics practice to explore the value of every day utility objects. In particular, mugs are created and examined through interactive installation as facilitators of human connection, symbolic of gesture and generosity, while having a life cycle beyond their making – shaped and transmuted by the value assigned to them through use.
